Liverpool Sign Bradley Barcola on Long-Term Deal
Liverpool have completed the signing of Bradley Barcola, with the French forward committing to a long-term contract after finalising his move at the AXA Training Centre.
The 21-year-old, who will wear the No.29 shirt, spoke of the scale of the step in his career and the weight of the badge he now represents.
"It's a great pride to be able to play for Liverpool. I'm very happy," he told Liverpoolfc.com. "It took a long time but I'm really happy today to be able to play for Liverpool and all I want is to be on the pitch and be able to play.
"I hope to achieve very big things. First of all, winning the Premier League – it's one of my biggest dreams in my life.
"It is to do that and to stay in this team in the long term – that's why I signed a long contract – and I hope I can do it."
A proven threat across the front line
Barcola arrives as one of Europe’s most intriguing attacking talents, comfortable operating anywhere across the front three. He joins Liverpool on the back of a three-year spell with PSG that underlined both his consistency and his ceiling.
In Paris he racked up 152 appearances, scoring 39 goals and supplying 35 assists. The numbers tell one story. The honours list tells another.
During his time at Parc des Princes, Barcola collected back-to-back Champions League titles and three consecutive Ligue 1 crowns, growing from a promising youngster into a regular presence on the biggest stage.
From Lyon to the elite
His rise began at Olympique Lyonnais, where he made his senior debut in November 2021. Lyon gave him his first platform; he responded with seven goals and 11 assists in 47 appearances, enough to convince PSG to move for him in August 2023.
That step accelerated everything. European nights, title races, knockout pressure – Barcola has already lived a lot of what awaits him at Anfield.
Established on the international stage
The forward’s progress has been just as sharp with France. Since debuting for the national team in June 2024, he has already amassed 28 caps and scored six times.
Three of those goals came at this summer’s World Cup, where he featured in every game of France’s run to a fourth-placed finish. On the biggest international stage of all, he did not disappear into the background. He stayed on the pitch, and on the scoresheet.
Now comes the next test. A new league, a new crowd, a new anthem – and a forward who has already made it clear what he wants: a long future at Liverpool, and a Premier League trophy in his hands.
