Liverpool Considers Loan Offers for Keyrol Figueroa
Transfer deadline day at Liverpool is chaotic enough without the sub-plot of players who have no clear path into the first team. Yet that’s exactly where the club finds itself: big holes in the squad on one side, surplus talent on the other, and just hours left to sort it all out.
Harvey Elliott is already halfway out of the door, his switch to Valencia all but done. Federico Chiesa’s situation remains murkier, his role in the squad still without a sharp outline as the clock ticks down.
Then there’s Keyrol Figueroa.
The young striker quietly signed a new contract with Liverpool last season, a move that surprised plenty around the club. The expectation had been simple: see out the old deal and walk away in 2026. Instead, he committed again, only to find himself no closer to the first-team picture.
That leaves today feeling like a decisive moment.
According to The Athletic, Liverpool now have two concrete offers on the table for Figueroa for a loan this season. Both are being considered. One will be accepted unless a third, more attractive option drops in at the last minute.
The plan is clear: he will leave on loan, get regular football, and try to prove he belongs at a higher level. What happens after that is anything but clear. His long-term future at Anfield will hinge entirely on how he performs away from it, and right now there’s little sense he is on a direct track toward Jürgen Klopp’s senior squad.
For Figueroa, though, this is the opening he needs. A new league, a new dressing room, and a chance to turn a quiet contract renewal into something far more meaningful. The only question left is where he’ll be kicking off that next chapter when the window finally slams shut.
