Once billed as the next big thing at Borussia Dortmund, Jayden Braaf is back in Germany, trying to restart a career that has stalled far earlier than anyone expected.

The 23-year-old free agent is currently training with VfL Osnabrück, newly promoted from the 3. Liga and preparing for life in the 2. Bundesliga. For Braaf, it is more than just a fitness exercise. It is an audition.

He is expected to feature in a friendly against Hannover 96, a crucial stage for a player who needs to remind clubs why he was once one of the most talked-about young wingers in Europe. One game will not define him, but a sharp performance could turn a training stint into a permanent deal.
