Carabao Cup Fourth-Round Draw Date and Details

The Carabao Cup is starting to tighten. The early clutter has gone, the Premier League’s European clubs are in, and only 16 teams will be left standing once the third round is done.

With the competition now into its serious phase, the fourth-round draw carries real weight: one game from a quarter-final, one good tie away from a genuine shot at Wembley.

When is the Carabao Cup fourth-round draw?

The draw will be made on Wednesday 16 September, straight after the Round Three meeting between Manchester United and Brighton.

That tie kicks off at 8pm BST, so expect the draw to take place some time after 10pm BST, once events at Old Trafford are wrapped up and the last of the third-round drama has settled.

Sky Sports will carry the draw live.

Pien Meulensteen will present the coverage, with Jamie Redknapp and Ashley Young overseeing the draw itself as the final 16 teams discover their route towards the latter stages.

What about the ball numbers?

The EFL will confirm the ball numbers on Wednesday morning across its official channels, setting up the final list before names start coming out of the hat.
