Besiktas Final Proposal for Mohamed Salah: Decision Time

Besiktas have pushed their pursuit of Mohamed Salah as far as they are willing to go. Now they wait.

Club president Serdal Adali has confirmed that the Istanbul side have put a final proposal on the table for the former Liverpool star, drawing a clear line under weeks of negotiations and placing the outcome firmly in the Egyptian’s hands.

“As has been published in the media, we have for some time been conducting negotiations with Salah and his representatives regarding the details of the deal,” Adali told Turkish outlet Ortacizgi, outlining a courtship that has stretched over a significant period rather than a late-window gamble.

The talks, he explained, reached a decisive phase when Besiktas sat down with Salah’s camp to go through every aspect of the move. Salary, bonuses, structure, conditions – all examined, all argued over.

“In the final stage, we discussed the demands of the player and his representatives from all angles, and after mutual negotiations, we submitted our final official offer. We also asked them to inform us of their decision within a short period,” Adali said.

The pressure is now time-bound as well as financial. Besiktas want clarity, not a saga.

Adali stressed that the club’s broader transfer plans are still moving “at full force”, but he made it clear that the Salah chase has reached its natural conclusion from their side.

“While our transfer work continues at full force, this is the current situation regarding Salah. We have assessed the amendments requested since the start of the negotiations, in line with the club's interests, and we have submitted our final offer,” he explained, underlining that Besiktas believe they have stretched as far as prudence allows.

Then came the simplest, most telling line of all.

“Now the decision lies with the player,” he concluded.

Salah has been consistently linked with a move to Besiktas during the current window, his name circling around Istanbul as the club look for a marquee addition to ignite their season and send a statement across Turkey and beyond.

According to respected Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, Besiktas have already reached an agreement in principle on personal terms with Salah and his agent. The proposed deal would be a one-season contract, worth up to 12 million euros – a short, sharp commitment with heavyweight numbers attached.

Besiktas have made their move. Their president has gone public. The structure is in place, the figures are set, the deadline has been nudged into view.

Now, one of the most decisive forwards of his generation must make a decision of his own.
