Sorba Thomas Escapes Injury After Car Overturns Near Training Ground

Hull City winger Sorba Thomas escaped without injury after his car overturned near the club’s training base on Friday morning.

The 27-year-old was involved in a crash on Millhouse Woods Lane in Cottingham, close to Hull’s training ground. Images from the scene showed a grey Land Rover Defender on its roof, windows smashed, resting in the road.

Despite the dramatic pictures, Thomas walked away from the incident.

Humberside Police confirmed emergency services remained at the scene as investigations continued and urged the public to stay away from the area while they worked.

Hull City later moved to calm growing concern among supporters once the photos began circulating online.

In a statement, the club said it was “relieved” to learn the winger was unharmed. Thomas only joined the Tigers from Championship side Stoke earlier this month, and his sudden involvement in such a serious-looking crash sparked immediate alarm on social media.

Addressing those images directly, Hull added: “The club is aware of images of Sorba's car circulating on social media and can reassure supporters that he has sustained no injuries and emerged from his vehicle completely unscathed.”
