PSG Set to Sign Akliouche from Monaco: A New Weapon for Luis Enrique
Paris Saint-Germain are about to add yet another weapon to Luis Enrique’s already loaded arsenal. Barring a late twist, Monaco winger Akliouche will become the latest forward to join the European champions, with the deal now described as imminent.
PSG move fast – and pay up
Once PSG identified the 24-year-old France international as a priority for their attacking rotation, the process accelerated. There was no long courtship, no drawn-out saga. They went in hard, were rebuffed, then came straight back.

Akliouche’s story with Monaco began in 2018, when he entered the club’s youth academy. Three years later, in 2021, he stepped into the first team. Since then, he has grown from promising youngster into one of the league’s more eye-catching wide forwards, a regular influence in Monaco’s attacking play.
His rise has not gone unnoticed at international level. The 24-year-old has already collected ten senior caps for France, scoring once for Les Bleus. He also featured at the 2026 World Cup, making a late cameo in the group stage: an 83rd-minute substitute appearance for Bradley Barcola in a 3-0 win over Iraq.
That small detail now carries extra weight. Barcola is widely expected to leave PSG this summer, and Akliouche has been lined up as the man to cover that likely departure. The two wingers briefly shared a pitch in national team colours; now one appears set to replace the other at club level.
Final checks before a long-term bet
The move has entered its final stretch. Akliouche travelled to Paris on Thursday to undergo his medical, the last obstacle before he can sign with the reigning European champions.
Once he passes those tests, the paperwork will follow. The winger is set to commit to a long-term contract running until June 2031, a clear signal that PSG view him not as a short-term patch, but as a central piece of their next attacking cycle.
When the ink dries, he will step straight into Enrique’s squad, tasked with adding depth, unpredictability and fresh legs to the flanks of a team that has already conquered Europe twice in a row.
