Mo Fuseini Receives Ghana Call-Up for International Window

Mo Fuseini has been rewarded for his electric club form with a call-up to Ghana’s squad for the September/October international window.

The 24-year-old forward, on loan from Union St Gilloise, received confirmation of his selection over the weekend and now has the chance to build on the two senior caps already on his record. His invitation comes on the back of a dramatic moment that may yet define the early part of his season.

Deep into stoppage time at Turf Moor, Fuseini smashed home a late equaliser against Burnley, snapping a run of three straight defeats and dragging the Rams to a fully deserved point away from home. That goal did more than change a result; it reset the mood heading into the three-week international break and underlined his growing influence.

Now he steps onto an even bigger stage.

The Black Stars face a demanding triple-header during the break. Two of those games carry real weight in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers: a clash with Ivory Coast on Thursday 24th September (8pm BST), followed by a meeting with Gambia on Tuesday 29th September (5pm BST). Between those fixtures and the pressure that comes with them, Ghana will also take on Morocco in a friendly on Sunday 4th October.

For Fuseini, it is a simple equation. Three games. One international window. A fresh chance to turn late-clutch heroics at club level into a lasting role in Ghana’s attack.
