Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Juventus are considering a move for AS Monaco and USMNT forward Folarin Balogun, seeing the 25-year-old as a live-wire alternative to Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani.
Juve want a striker who stretches back lines, someone who lives on those runs in behind. Balogun fits the profile. The problem is the price. Monaco are expected to demand in the region of €50 million, and they know they have leverage: Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspur have all been linked recently.
For a club reshaping its attack, that’s the going rate. The question in Turin is simple: do they pay it now for Balogun, or hold out for Kolo Muani and risk losing both?
Arsenal’s Álvarez gamble and Gyökeres dilemma
North London has its own striker puzzle. TalkSPORT reports that Arsenal are exploring a player-exchange offer to prise Julián Álvarez from Atletico Madrid, with Viktor Gyökeres potentially used as part of the deal.
Atletico like Gyökeres. The 28-year-old hit 14 goals in 36 Premier League games last season and offers relentless work rate with penalty-box presence. Yet the move is tangled in complications. Arsenal have not yet fully pressed their pursuit of Álvarez, and the forward is understood to see Barcelona as his preferred destination. Any deal for him is expected to cost upwards of €150 million.
That figure alone changes the tone of the summer at the Emirates. Mikel Arteta is ready to refresh his front line, and Gyökeres could be among the casualties of that reset. But if Álvarez is leaning towards Camp Nou and the fee soars past €150m, how far are Arsenal prepared to push?

Barcelona eye Romero and low-cost firepower
Barcelona, strapped for cash yet still chasing elite talent, are again threading the needle between ambition and reality.

On paper, a free Vlahovic looks like a gift. In reality, his salary demands have not impressed Barcelona, opening the door for Besiktas, who could hand him a three-year deal. If that happens, Barça’s forward search slides back to the likes of Asllani and, potentially, Álvarez.
Amorim turns to Mazraoui for Milan’s rebuild
In Milan, Ruben Amorim is starting to leave fingerprints on his new AC Milan squad.
Calciomercato reports that Manchester United defender Noussair Mazraoui has been added to his shortlist. Amorim knows him well from their time together at Old Trafford and sees the 28-year-old as a potential replacement for Pervis Estupiñán, who has been linked with Aston Villa.
