Inter Squad for 2026-27 Champions League: All Summer Signings Included
Inter have nailed down their squad for the 2026-27 Champions League league phase – and every one of their summer arrivals is on board.
John Stones, Curtis Jones, Aleksandar Stankovic and Djed Spence have all been registered across List A and List B in the official submission to UEFA, confirming Simone Inzaghi will have his full set of new faces available when Europe calls.
The paperwork closed on Wednesday, September 2, the first day after the summer transfer window shut across most of Europe. By then, every club in UEFA competition had to send in its squad lists. Inter’s announcement lays out exactly who can feature in the league phase under the governing body’s strict rules.
Why Inter stopped at 23 on List A
UEFA regulations allow a maximum of 25 players on List A, with at least two goalkeepers and a minimum of eight locally trained players. Inter fall one short of that homegrown quota.
They have seven players who meet the locally trained criteria, which automatically caps their List A at 23 rather than 25.
Those seven are Ivan Provedel, Raffaele Di Gennaro, Alessandro Bastoni, Federico Dimarco, Mattia Marello, Nicolo Barella and Piotr Zielinski. They form the backbone that lets Inter tick the regulatory boxes while still carrying depth across the pitch.
Behind them, Josep Martinez joins Provedel and Di Gennaro in the goalkeeping group, giving Inter three senior options between the posts.
Stones, Spence and a reshaped back line
The defence carries a clear statement of intent. Stones goes straight into List A, slotting into a back line that already boasts Manuel Akanji, Benjamin Pavard, Carlos Augusto and Yann-Aurel Bisseck, with Spence adding pace and width on the flank.
It is a unit built for rotation across three fronts, but also for control on Champions League nights when a single mistake can tilt an entire campaign.
Midfield packed with craft and legs
Midfield looks loaded.
Alongside Barella and Zielinski, Inter have registered Petar Sucic, Luis Henrique, Andy Diouf, Hakan Calhanoglu, Curtis Jones and Henrikh Mkhitaryan. It is a blend of established Champions League experience, emerging energy and technical quality in tight spaces.
Jones, like Stones, wastes no time joining the European group. His inclusion gives Inzaghi another option between the lines, and another player comfortable in high-tempo, high-pressure games.
Firepower up front
Up top, the names are familiar but no less dangerous.
Marcus Thuram, Lautaro Martinez and Ange-Yoan Bonny complete List A, forming a forward line built on movement, power and sharp finishing. With that trio, Inter carry enough variation to trouble almost any defensive shape they will meet in the league phase.
Youth on List B
Stankovic does not sit with the senior group on List A, but that is by design, not demotion.
He and Pio Esposito have been placed on List B, having both been born after the January 1, 2005 cut-off and spent an uninterrupted spell at the club. That status lets Inter protect valuable List A slots while still keeping their young talent eligible for Champions League action.
The club have not revealed the rest of their List B contingent, but the inclusion of Stankovic and Esposito underlines how the pathway from the academy to the European stage remains open.
