Harry Kane never looked worried. Others did.
Two Bundesliga games without a goal was all it took for the murmurs to start – a 5-1 demolition of Stuttgart without his name on the scoresheet, then a goalless grind against Schalke. For most strikers, that’s a normal week. For Harry Kane, it was labelled a “drought”.
Against Elversberg, he ended the discussion with one swing of his right boot.

"We talk a lot about our squad. At the moment, we’re all fit and healthy, which has a big impact on the team. We’ve got lots of matches in a short space of time. With our style of play and our intensity, it’s important to have fresh players. It doesn’t matter who starts or comes off the bench – everyone needs to be ready to give 110 percent."
Teammates and rivals united in praise

Elversberg head coach Vincent Wagner could only admire the way Kane turned a half-chance into a match-winner, highlighting the ease with which the former Tottenham striker operates in the tightest of spaces.
"He makes it look effortless too – you’d think he does that sort of thing all the time!" Wagner said, summing up the feeling of countless defenders who have watched Kane wheel away in celebration.
From “drought” talk to a century chase
