Harry Kane Scores 100th Bundesliga Goal in Bayern's 7-0 Victory

Harry Kane hit another landmark and then made it clear he has no intention of slowing down – on the pitch or at Bayern.

The England captain smashed his 100th and 101st Bundesliga goals in a ruthless 7-0 demolition of Union Berlin, becoming the fastest player ever to reach a century of goals in any of Europe’s top five leagues. He needed just 98 league appearances in Germany to get there, a pace that underlines how completely he has adapted to life at the Rekordmeister.

"I'm very proud of scoring 101 Bundesliga goals in such a short time," the 33-year-old said afterwards. "I've loved every second of it. Playing with Michael (Olise), Lucho (Luis Díaz), Jamal (Musiala), I know I'll get chances. Thank you to the team and the club. It's a great stat to have. Let's keep it going."

The performance arrived at exactly the moment Bayern needed a statement. Recent wins over Schalke and Elversberg kept results ticking over, but the level was not where Kane or the club expect it to be. Against Union, that tension snapped.

"We've been winning games and scoring goals recently, but didn't quite reach our top level," Kane admitted. "It was nice to get to this level today, especially right before the international break."

Seven goals, a rampant attack, Kane at the heart of it again. The message to the rest of the league was blunt.

Off the pitch, his future remains a talking point. Kane’s current deal has prompted speculation about how long Bayern can keep their talisman at the Allianz Arena, but the striker underlined his contentment and confirmed that talks over an extension are active.

"As I said (before), I'm extremely happy here. The talks are ongoing. I really appreciate the support the fans are showing me here."

Records keep falling, the goals keep coming, and Bayern are already moving to lock down the man rewriting the scoring standards in Germany.
