Galatasaray Rejects €130m Bid for Victor Osimhen
Galatasaray have turned down a staggering €130m offer from Al-Hilal for Victor Osimhen, making it clear they will not entertain any talks over a sale this summer.
The Saudi Pro League side lodged the verbal proposal on Wednesday through intermediaries, testing Galatasaray’s resolve with a bid that would have rewritten the club’s transfer history. The answer came back quickly: no.
According to Sky Sports, Galatasaray informed Al-Hilal that Osimhen is simply not for sale in this window and that there is no appetite at the Turkish champions to even open negotiations.
The stance underlines just how central the Nigerian has become in Istanbul. Since arriving from Napoli on an initial loan in 2024, Osimhen has been devastating in front of goal, scoring 59 times in just 74 appearances for the Süper Lig giants. His impact forced Galatasaray’s hand last summer, when they made the move permanent for a club and Turkish transfer record fee of €75m.
Al-Hilal know all about him. Their interest is not new. They pushed hard to sign Osimhen before his switch to Galatasaray, only to see him choose Istanbul. Now they have come back with far more money, and still leave empty-handed.
The Saudi club’s pursuit is part of a wider rebuild aimed at mounting a serious assault on the Pro League title in the 2026/27 season. Al-Hilal finished second last term, just two points behind champions Al-Nassr, and believe a peak Osimhen could tilt that balance.
The pressure in their forward line is already building. The club are expected to sanction the departure of Darwin Nunez in the coming days, clearing space for a marquee striker. Osimhen sits at the top of that list, the headline name to lead a revamped attack.
Al-Hilal have not been shy in the market. They have already wrapped up a £60m deal for Crysencio Summerville from West Ham United, adding more pace and direct threat out wide. He joins an attacking group that already includes Karim Benzema and Malcolm, a blend of proven pedigree and explosive flair.
Yet the missing piece, in their eyes, is a ruthless No. 9 in his prime. That is why they came with €130m.
Galatasaray’s answer suggests they believe that piece already belongs to them – and they have no intention of letting him go.
