Fridolina Rolfö to Miss 2026/27 Season Due to Pregnancy
Manchester United will be without Fridolina Rolfö for the entire 2026/27 campaign after the Sweden international confirmed she is pregnant.
The versatile forward was a notable absentee from United’s WSL opening-day defeat away to London City Lionesses last Friday. She has since shared the news with her teammates, bringing a personal milestone that also delivers a significant sporting setback for Eva Olid’s side.
Rolfö, one of United’s most adaptable attacking options, is now expected to miss not only this season but also at least the early stages of the 2027/28 campaign, with time required to regain full fitness and match sharpness after childbirth.
Last season, winger Celin Bizet Dønnum announced her pregnancy after playing her final game in October 2025 and has yet to return to first-team action.
For Olid, it means planning another season without a key wide player. For Rolfö, it marks the start of a very different journey, with United left to reshape their attack in her absence.
