Edo Queens Boss Kennedy Boboye Insists on Full Commitment Ahead of WAFU B Final Group Game

Edo Queens boss Kennedy Boboye has made one thing clear ahead of their final group game at the WAFU B Women’s Champions League: there will be no easing off.

Already safely into the semi-finals after two wins from two, the Nigerian champions could have treated the clash with Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa Ladies as a chance to rotate heavily. Boboye is having none of that.

“We don’t have any player to rest; it’s only one of our defenders who was ruled out of the tournament due to a head injury,” he said before the matchday three showdown.

That injury-enforced absence aside, he insists every member of the squad remains fully locked in and ready to play.

“All the players in the squad will come out and play when needed, and they will surely give their all to the team.”

It is a clear message: Edo Queens want to carry momentum, not manage it. Ampem Darkoa, a seasoned force in the regional game, will provide their sternest test yet in the group, but Boboye’s stance signals respect for the opponent and the stakes.
