Makelele revealed he has already urged Real Madrid president Florentino Perez to move for the France international, placing Olise at the very top of his personal wish list.
“Michael Olise to Real Madrid? I would support it. I had the opportunity to speak with President Florentino Perez and I told him that if there's money to spend on just one player, it's him,” Makelele said, laying out his stance without a hint of hesitation.
For a man who shared a dressing room with some of the greatest talents of the modern era, that is no casual endorsement. Makelele sees in Olise something rare, something that cuts through the noise of systems and spreadsheets and takes the game back to its essence.
