Tottenham Reacts Quickly After Brentford Defeat

Tottenham did not wait long to react to their bruising Premier League opener. Less than 24 hours after a 3-0 defeat at Brentford, the club have moved aggressively in the market and are closing in on another major attacking signing.

After pushing through a deal for Savinho from Manchester City, Spurs are now on the verge of landing a second forward from the same club.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano reported on Sunday afternoon that Tottenham and City have reached full agreement over the transfer of Egypt international Omar Marmoush in a deal worth €60 million.

The former Eintracht Frankfurt striker is expected in London on Monday to undergo his medical and sign his contract, a move that would further reshape Ange Postecoglou’s attacking options.

Savinho is also set to join from City for a fee in the region of €100 million, meaning Tottenham are preparing to invest around €160 million on two forwards in a decisive response to their early-season jolt.
