Strasbourg Signs Chelsea's Omari Kellyman in Permanent Deal
Strasbourg have completed the permanent signing of Chelsea attacker Omari Kellyman, extending the increasingly well-trodden path between the two BlueCo-owned clubs.
The 20-year-old moves to the Ligue 1 side in a deal that includes a buyback clause for Chelsea and is expected to be the first of three transfers linking the clubs this week. It is already the 20th move between Stamford Bridge and the French side since they came under the same American ownership group.
Chelsea striker Deivid Washington is also poised to join Strasbourg in a similar structure, while either midfielder Dario Essugo or winger Mykhailo Mudryk is being lined up for a loan switch to the Alsace club as the pipeline between the two squads continues to grow.
Kellyman arrived at Chelsea from Aston Villa in 2024 for £19m, a move that underlined the London club’s belief in his potential. But his time in west London never really started. A run of hamstring injuries repeatedly halted his progress and he failed to make a single first-team appearance.
Now he gets a reset in France — and Chelsea keep a door open if he finally delivers on the promise that first drew them to him.
