St Patrick's Athletic to Face Bohemians in FAI Cup Quarter-Final

St Patrick's Athletic have been handed another Dublin derby in the Club Orange FAI Cup – and it’s a blockbuster.

Fresh from dumping out holders Shamrock Rovers last Sunday, the Saints will face Bohemians at Richmond Park in a repeat of the 2023 final after today’s quarter-final draw. Same sides, same stakes, but this time the tie comes with the roar of Inchicore behind St Pat’s.

Bohemians, beaten in last year’s showpiece, now get a shot at revenge in the capital cauldron. For St Pat’s, it’s a chance to turn a statement win over Rovers into a full-blown cup charge.

The draw served up intrigue elsewhere too. Derry City will host Dundalk at the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium, a meeting of two clubs who know their way around this competition and rarely take a backward step on nights like these.

The other half of the draw drags the bottom end of the SSE Airtricity Men's Premier Division into the spotlight. Drogheda United have home advantage against Galway United, while resurgent Waterford FC will fancy their chances at the RSC when they welcome Sligo Rovers.

All four quarter-finals are scheduled for the weekend of 4–6 September, with RTÉ Sport set to screen two of the ties live.
