Real Madrid have quietly pulled the shutters down on their summer business. With the window ticking into its final stretch, the club now see their squad as virtually locked in.
According to Marca, the hierarchy at the Bernabéu consider the transfer market “95% closed”. That remaining sliver, that last 5%, is being kept open only for emergencies between now and the 31 August deadline.
What qualifies as an emergency? A serious injury to a key player, or a sudden, unplanned exit. Only something on that scale would drag the club back into the market and force a late rethink.
Inside Valdebebas, there is satisfaction with how the summer has unfolded. Deals were wrapped up early, without the usual soap opera of prolonged negotiations. The only move that hit a bump was the Jan Diomande operation, delayed by minor contractual details in talks with Leipzig.

If anything is still capable of shaking things up, it lies in midfield.
