RB Leipzig Targets Lille's Matias Fernandez-Pardo

RB Leipzig are making a late push to land Lille forward Matias Fernandez-Pardo before the transfer window shuts, with a deal now moving into advanced territory.

Sky Germany report that Leipzig have already reached an agreement on personal terms with the Belgium international, clearing a major hurdle in negotiations. The Bundesliga club have followed that up with a formal bid believed to be worth around €32–33 million, including what are described as realistic bonuses.

It’s a sizeable outlay for a 21-year-old still at the start of his career, but one Leipzig clearly feel fits their attacking blueprint. Fernandez-Pardo has produced 12 goals and 11 assists in 71 appearances for Lille, numbers that hint at a forward who can both finish and create.

Leipzig are not stopping there. They are also closing in on a loan deal for Christopher Nkunku from AC Milan, aiming to bring the former fan favourite back to Saxony. The plan is bold: reshape the attack in one window, add a high-potential striker, and reunite with a proven Bundesliga performer.

Now the clock is the main opponent. If Leipzig get both Fernandez-Pardo and Nkunku over the line, their front line will look very different by the time the window closes.
