Rangers Supporters Banned for Five Years After Scottish Cup Disorder

Two Rangers supporters have been hit with five‑year bans from every football ground in the UK after ugly scenes at an Old Firm Scottish Cup quarter-final in March.

The pair were caught on separate pieces of video footage as the tie descended into chaos at full-time, with families, children and disabled fans caught up in the disorder.

Mackenzie Graham, 21, from Glasgow, was filmed vaulting a fence and charging onto the pitch, appearing to lead a group of fans in a pitch invasion. He was seen repeatedly goading others to follow him over the barrier and onto the playing surface.

In the stands, 19-year-old John Smith from Peterhead was identified throwing a bottle towards Celtic supporters. Police officers moved in and detained him inside the ground.

The trouble flared at the end of the match and continued as stewards and police tried to move supporters to safety, with vulnerable fans forced to navigate the disorder.

Both men admitted the charges. They will now be locked out of every football stadium in the country for the next five years – a stark reminder of how quickly one game can spill beyond the touchline.
