Paris FC Pursue Jonathan David Amid Juventus Exit

Paris FC have moved into the race for Juventus forward Jonathan David, with the Canada international expected to leave Turin after a difficult first season, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

David joined Juve from Lille OSC on a free transfer last summer, but the move has not taken off. Luciano Spalletti is now ready to move him on, and the 26-year-old finds himself back on the market far sooner than expected.

For Paris FC, the timing is striking.

They have already reshaped their attack once this summer, cashing in on Willem Geubbels and bringing in Lassine Sinayoko as his replacement. That looked like the main business up front – until Ciro Immobile stunned the dressing room last month by announcing his imminent retirement, having previously been expected to play on for at least one more season.

That decision ripped a hole in Liam Rosenior’s plans. Suddenly, one new forward was not enough.

The club are now pushing to add another attacker, and David has emerged as a serious option for Les Parisiens. His profile is clear: proven at Lille, mobile, capable of playing across the front line, and with a point to prove after a flat spell in Italy.

The path, though, is anything but clear.

Atletico Madrid have also been credited with strong interest, setting up a potential tug-of-war for the striker. If Juventus are determined to offload and David is keen on a fresh start, Paris FC will have to convince him that their project – and not a move to La Liga – is the right stage for his reboot.
