Manchester United Targets Sweden Winger Monica Jusu Bah

Manchester United are set to add serious pace to their forward line after agreeing terms to sign Sweden winger Monica Jusu Bah from BK Häcken.

The 23-year-old is expected to complete the move before next Thursday’s Women’s Super League transfer deadline, with only the final details left to fall into place. United will pay a fee to the Swedish club, though the figure remains undisclosed.

Jusu Bah only signed an extension with Häcken in September 2025, tying her down until 2028, a deal that underlined her rising status in Sweden and ensured any buyer would have to pay. United have decided she is worth it.

A product of Swedish football, she broke through at Umea before earning her switch to Häcken in 2023. Her impact there has been swift. In May, she played a key role as Häcken lifted the inaugural Women’s Europa Cup, adding European silverware to her growing CV.

Her form at club level has been mirrored on the international stage. Jusu Bah has already collected 11 caps for Sweden and featured in all six of their Women’s World Cup qualifiers this year, underlining her importance in a national side packed with attacking options.

For United, this is part of a broader late-window push. The club are still working on at least one more addition before the deadline, intent on sharpening a squad that wants to challenge at the top end of the WSL.

The deal for Jusu Bah follows the arrivals of defender Andrea Medina from Atletico Madrid and goalkeeper Janina Leitzig from Leicester City, as United reshape key areas of the pitch.
