Mac Allister shines while contract talk stalls

Speaking to 365Scores, his father and representative, Carlos Mac Allister, confirmed that Liverpool have not opened talks over fresh terms.
“No one from Liverpool FC has contacted us about renewing his contract yet,” he said.
“We have a valid contract and we are committed to it with Liverpool, and if the club does not offer to renew the contract, that is their right. At the moment, Alexis must give his best for the club in every game during the weekend.
“Alexis is not disappointed. This is a decision made by the club, and we do not judge their decisions, we just prepare for what is to come.”
The message is calm, almost cold. Liverpool hold the contract. Mac Allister focuses on performances. The rest, for now, sits in the club’s hands.
Real Madrid rumours shut down
When his form dipped previously, speculation rushed in to fill the space. A player of his profile was never going to struggle in silence.
Rumours linked him with a move away, with Real Madrid repeatedly mentioned as a possible destination. It fitted the usual narrative: a technically gifted midfielder, unsettled, potentially on the market, and a Spanish giant lurking.
But that story has been firmly shut down by the same man.
In the same interview, Carlos Mac Allister was asked directly about interest from the Bernabéu. His answer left no room for interpretation.

Liverpool, despite being offered chances to bring in specialist number sixes, chose to keep faith with Mac Allister in their midfield mix. Many questioned that decision at the time. Right now, with his performances climbing back towards his best, it looks a lot more justified.
