The right flank, once Salah’s stage, is now a blank canvas waiting for a new lead act. Mbaye’s profile gives Liverpool a chance to redraw that picture without waiting on a single blockbuster deal.
Gakpo exit heightens the alarm
As if replacing Salah were not a big enough task, Liverpool are bracing for another potential departure in the forward line.
Cody Gakpo is increasingly tipped to join Tottenham Hotspur, a move that would further thin out Iraola’s attacking options and pile more pressure on the club’s recruitment team. Lose Salah and Gakpo in the same window without strong reinforcements and the season’s ambitions start to look fragile.
