Liverpool's Summer Reshuffle: Kieran Morrison Joins Sheffield Wednesday

Liverpool’s summer reshuffle under Andoni Iraola is gathering pace, with young winger Kieran Morrison the latest to head out on loan – and turning down offers from abroad to do it.

The 19-year-old has joined Sheffield Wednesday on a season-long deal for the 2026-27 campaign, opting for League One over a move to Europe in search of regular senior minutes at Hillsborough. His decision comes off the back of a standout pre-season tour of the USA, where his sharp performances pushed him firmly into the spotlight.

While Morrison heads to Yorkshire, another fringe Red is preparing for a fresh start of his own. Right-back Calvin Ramsay is set to complete a loan switch to St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership. The 23-year-old, who is out of contract at Anfield next summer, will be playing for his future – whether that ends up back on Merseyside or elsewhere.
