Liverpool’s pursuit of Bradley Barcola has been handed fresh encouragement, with Paris Saint-Germain now prepared to listen to offers below their original sky-high valuation, according to reports in France.
The winger has emerged as one of Liverpool’s priority targets as the club rebuilds its attack for life after Mohamed Salah. Victor Muñoz has already arrived from Osasuna to bolster the forward line, while centre-backs Jeremy Jacquet from Rennes and Ronald Araujo from Barcelona have strengthened the spine. The search for another wide threat, though, has not let up.
Liverpool initially explored a move for Yan Diomande at RB Leipzig, only to see the player lean towards PSG or Real Madrid. That pushed the focus firmly onto Barcola, whose status at the Parc des Princes has shifted under Luis Enrique, with the France international slipping down the pecking order in a stacked attacking unit.

Talks between Liverpool and PSG have been ongoing for weeks, with the Ligue 1 champions initially signalling they wanted around £130m (€152m) for Barcola. French outlet Jeunes Footeux now claims the French club have slightly relaxed that stance.
According to their report, PSG had long set a minimum of €150m, but recent signings have altered the internal picture. The Parisian hierarchy are now said to be ready to consider bids in the €130m–€140m range – a “relative discount” that still underlines how highly they rate Barcola.
From Liverpool’s perspective, it is being framed as a “gift”: a small opening in a previously rigid valuation. Whether that nudge is enough to push the Premier League side into a more aggressive move remains to be seen, but the message from Paris is clear – they are not under pressure to sell and have no intention of cutting the price further.
PSG’s stance is strengthened by the depth in their forward line. Desire Doue, Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ferran Torres, Mika Goots and Maghnes Akliouche already crowd the attacking positions, leaving Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye on the outside looking in.
Romano: Liverpool “pushing” as talks hit crucial stage
Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has echoed the sense that the situation is reaching a decisive phase. Speaking on his YouTube channel, he highlighted the absence of both Barcola and Mbaye from PSG’s matchday squad as a key indicator of what is coming next.
Romano said the expectation inside PSG is that both players will leave, given the competition for places up front. In that context, Liverpool’s move for Barcola is gathering pace.
“Liverpool are negotiating for Barcola. Liverpool are confident for Barcola. Liverpool are pushing for Barcola,” Romano said, adding that he expects the deal to “accelerate” as of Monday, with the saga entering what he described as “crucial stages”.
Crucially, Romano reports that Liverpool already have a verbal agreement on personal terms with Barcola. The remaining hurdle lies with PSG and the final transfer fee, but from Liverpool’s side, the intention is clear: they want to move quickly and get it done.
