Liverpool have moved to fill the void left by Mo Salah with a blockbuster deal for Bradley Barcola, after reaching an outline agreement with Paris Saint-Germain for the winger.

Negotiations reportedly made a “breakthrough” overnight, leaving only the final details and formalities to be completed before the move can be signed off.
The agreement, once finalised, will put Barcola among the most expensive players in Liverpool’s history. Only Alexander Isak, who arrived from Newcastle United for £125 million last year, will have cost more. Florian Wirtz also joined for £100 million from Bayer Leverkusen, with an extra £16 million in add-ons tied to Liverpool winning the Premier League or UEFA Champions League.
Barcola’s push for a way out
Barcola’s desire to leave PSG has been no secret. Game time has become increasingly scarce in a crowded attacking department. He currently sits behind Desire Doue and Kvicha Kvaratskhelia in the pecking order, while the recent arrivals of Ferran Torres, Maghnes Akliouche and Mika Godts have only tightened the squeeze.
With two years left on his PSG contract, the winger has chosen this summer as the moment to force a move, seeking a club willing to build a front line around his pace and directness. Liverpool, reshaping their attack after Salah’s departure, see him as the right fit at the right time.
