Arteta struck an optimistic but measured tone when asked about Timber’s status, making it clear the defender is in a strong place physically but stressing that the final call will be made late.
“Yeah, he is in really good condition at the moment. He is in a good place,” Arteta said via Hayters. “We will decide tomorrow after training.”
The message is clear: Arsenal are encouraged, but not complacent. Timber remains a key option on the right side of defence, and the club are determined not to jeopardise his long-term availability for the sake of one game, no matter how high-profile the opponent.
