Inter Milan Pursues Curtis Jones as Frattesi Interest Grows

Inter Milan’s chase for Curtis Jones has moved a step closer, with the Italian champions now actively working on the midfield dominoes that could free up a move for the Liverpool man.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano reports that Lazio have approached Inter for Davide Frattesi, opening the door for a reshuffle in Simone Inzaghi’s engine room. If Inter decide to cash in on Frattesi, it would create both the squad space and financial margin needed to go back to Liverpool for Jones.

Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari of TV Dello Sport backs that up, stating that Jones remains the Nerazzurri’s priority target in midfield and that the club are preparing to push again.

“Curtis Jones remains Inter's first choice for the midfield. The ongoing work on the departures (Frattesi and others) will lead the Nerazzurri to relaunch talks with Liverpool to get closer to the Reds' demands,” Longari reported.

The stance from the player’s side is clear: Jones has already given the green light to the move and wants the transfer.

Now it rests on Inter turning interest into an acceptable offer – and on Liverpool deciding how much they are willing to bend for a homegrown midfielder entering his prime.
