Fenerbahce Signs Lukaku for Title Challenge

Fenerbahce have made their boldest move of the summer, officially unveiling Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku after striking a deal with Napoli.

The Turkish giants kept the numbers quiet, but French outlet Foot Mercato reported a fee of around 6 million euros, potentially rising through bonuses and incentives. For a forward of Lukaku’s pedigree, it looks a calculated gamble with serious upside.

At 33, Lukaku walks away from Napoli on a permanent basis after two seasons that delivered an Italian league title. He now swaps Serie A for the intensity of the Turkish Super Lig, stepping into Istanbul with the clear expectation of becoming a central figure in Fenerbahce’s title charge.

A heavyweight added to a heavyweight project
