Jeremy Doku Signs New Five-Year Contract with Manchester City
Jeremy Doku has tied his future to Manchester City, signing a new five-year contract that keeps him at the Etihad Stadium until at least 2031.
For City’s new manager Enzo Maresca, it is a statement renewal before a ball has even been kicked in the new Premier League season on August 21. One of the league’s most electric wide forwards is staying put – and buying fully into the Italian’s vision.
Doku commits to Maresca era
Since arriving from Rennes in 2023, Doku has grown from raw excitement into a relentless weapon. The 24-year-old has racked up 22 goals and 34 assists in 131 appearances, numbers that only tell part of the story of his impact on a side that has swept through every competition in front of it.

Maresca’s ideal winger
Maresca steps into the daunting role of replacing Pep Guardiola, but in Doku he inherits a winger built for high-tempo, aggressive attacking play. Direct, explosive, and fearless in one‑v‑one situations, the Belgian fits the profile City want on the flanks.
City’s director of football Hugo Viana underlined that point.
