Dario Osorio: Rising Star on Europe's Transfer Radar
Dario Osorio has gone from quiet talent to one of the loudest names on Europe’s transfer radar this summer. At FC Midtjylland they can feel it: the 22-year-old is almost outgrowing the Danish Superliga, and the giants are circling.
Premier League heavyweights move in
Liverpool have been tracking him closely, one of several Premier League clubs running the rule over the Chilean winger as the window heads into its final stretch. Everton and Leeds United are also understood to be monitoring his situation, while AC Milan remain firmly in the hunt, with interest from both Denmark and Italy pointing towards a serious Serie A option.
Arsenal, too, are still in the frame. Their admiration dates back to last summer and has never really cooled. Midtjylland’s technical director has already admitted that a number of English clubs are continuing to assess the player, underlining just how crowded the race has become.
Osorio only arrived in Denmark from Universidad de Chile in 2023, but his rise has been sharp. He has 23 goals and 18 assists in 117 games, numbers that have earned him a regular place in the Chile national team, where he already has 25 caps.
A winger built for the big stage
Clubs aren’t just buying output. They’re buying a profile. Osorio is quick, direct, and comfortable on either flank, a left-footed attacker who loves to drive at defenders. Those traits have inevitably drawn comparisons with Alexis Sanchez, and within Midtjylland there is a firm belief that his next step will command a major fee.
The Danish side value him at around €20million (£17.1m / $23.4m) and are ready to listen if that number is met. Lower offers have already been turned away, and there is quiet confidence in Herning that a tug-of-war between English and Italian clubs will nudge the price higher.
Inside the club, the expectation is clear. Coaching staff and directors anticipate that Osorio, along with another key forward, will be sold before the window shuts. A departure has been described as almost inevitable.
Market pressure builds
So far, no formal bid has been accepted. But the volume and calibre of interest point towards movement in the coming days. Whether that takes him to the Premier League or Serie A is still open, yet the consensus among scouts is that he is ready for a higher level.
Liverpool’s search for wide players is no secret. They have explored moves for Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye and are understood to want as many as two new wingers. Osorio fits the age profile, the intensity, the versatility.
Across Merseyside, Everton are also pushing to add another wide option before the deadline. Jack Grealish remains on their radar, Como’s Assane Diao is on the shortlist, and Osorio has been discussed as part of those attacking plans.
The battle, though, stretches beyond one city. With Midtjylland open to selling at the right price and Europe’s elite hovering, Osorio stands on the brink of the move that will define the next phase of his career. The only question left is whose shirt he pulls on when the window finally slams shut.
