Copa Del Rave: World Cup Residency in Los Angeles

Copa Del Rave has been quietly building its own legend on the fringes of Los Angeles nightlife since 2019. This summer, it steps straight into the glare of the biggest stage football can offer.

With the 2026 FIFA World Cup kicking off in June across 16 cities in the United States, Mexico and Canada, the DJ-driven charity soccer tournament is rolling out a full World Cup residency in L.A., turning two of the city’s key clubs — Academy and Exchange L.A. — into matchday hubs.

World Cup on the dancefloor

Across the tournament, Copa Del Rave will host viewing parties where the soundtrack is as carefully curated as the football on screen. Each event pairs the day’s fixtures with DJs, labels and party crews representing the countries involved.

• Claude VonStroke will fly the flag for Team USA.
• Mexico’s colors will be carried by Reggaeton Rave, Gasolina and Bolo’s Vibraza Records.
• Blaq Pages and Afrobeats To The World will represent the African diaspora, folding global rhythms into the World Cup noise.

The games are just the spine. The real heartbeat comes before kick-off and after the final whistle, when the dancefloors open up and the clubs switch fully from watch mode to rave mode.

Party with a purpose

Since its launch, Copa Del Rave has raised more than $75,000 for charity. This year’s edition keeps that core intact. Proceeds will go to Common Goal, an organization focused on creating greater access for kids to play soccer.

For co-founders Alastair Duncan and Jonathan McDonald, the World Cup residency is the natural evolution of a project that has always sat at the intersection of football culture and club culture. The tournament’s arrival in North America gives them the chance to put that mix in front of a global audience, with Los Angeles as the backdrop.

Stars lining up for 2026

Copa Del Rave is part of a wider wave of music stepping into the 2026 World Cup spotlight. Madonna, Shakira and BTS have been announced as headliners for the FIFA World Cup Halftime show at MetLife Stadium on July 19 — the first time the tournament has ever staged a halftime show.
