Chelsea Winger Dastan Satpayev Set for Loan Move to Burnley

Chelsea’s teenage winger Dastan Satpayev is on the brink of a loan switch to Burnley, as the Premier League club continues to send its next generation out for senior minutes.

The Kazakhstan international turned 18 on Wednesday and marked the day by signing a six-year contract at Stamford Bridge, with an option for a further season, after pre-agreeing a £3.4m move from Kairat FC to join Chelsea in January 2025.

He has already travelled to Turf Moor and is expected to undergo his medical ahead of Burnley’s Championship clash with West Ham on Sunday, with all parties confident of getting the deal over the line in time for him to link up with Vincent Kompany’s squad.

Chelsea Youth Exodus

Satpayev’s move is part of a wider Chelsea youth exodus this week. Ryan Kavuma-McQueen has joined Portsmouth on loan, Reggie Walsh has completed a switch to Wigan Athletic, and Shim Mheuka is also close to sealing a temporary move away.

Chelsea are stockpiling young talent. Burnley now hope Satpayev can be one who makes an immediate impact.
