Neto interest grows as £100m price tag looms
Pedro Neto’s future at Stamford Bridge is no longer guaranteed. Chelsea are open to cashing in on the winger, with serious interest emerging from Al-Hilal and several Premier League clubs, according to football.london.
Chelsea are aware of the growing market around Neto but, crucially, no formal offers have landed yet. They are not actively touting him around, yet the stance is clear: for the right money, they will talk.
That “right money” is steep. The club are understood to value Neto at close to £100m, a figure that underlines just how inflated the current market has become and how highly they rate the Portugal international. Any move would be a major statement, from both buyer and seller.
Mudryk loan battle heats up
On the opposite flank, another Chelsea winger could be on the move — but only temporarily.
Coventry City are pushing hard to bring in Mykhailo Mudryk on loan. Teamtalk reports that Frank Lampard’s side now see themselves as “serious contenders” to land the Ukrainian, with Chelsea exploring loan options to secure him regular minutes after he was cleared to play this season.
Chelsea’s preference is thought to be a Premier League loan, which could strengthen Coventry’s hand in negotiations. The club still see a long-term future for Mudryk at Stamford Bridge, yet accept that a season away might be the best way to unlock his form and confidence.
Leao offered to Chelsea
While two wide men could be heading for the exit door, another might be walking in.
Chelsea have reportedly been offered the chance to sign AC Milan star Rafael Leao. Gazzetta dello Sport claims the forward’s representatives have contacted Chelsea about a possible move, with the player’s camp also approaching other clubs, including Roma, earlier in the summer.
An offer in the region of £34m is said to be enough to tempt Milan into a sale for the 27-year-old, who has been at the Serie A club since joining from Lille in 2019. For a player of his profile and pedigree, that figure would represent one of the more intriguing deals of the window.
Alex Scott on radar as Enzo saga rumbles on
The midfield picture is no less complicated.
Bournemouth’s Alex Scott remains firmly on Chelsea’s radar, but only if Enzo Fernandez leaves before deadline day. Chelsea recently laid down an unofficial ultimatum to Manchester City: pay £120m for Enzo by last Friday or walk away. No official bid arrived, yet City’s interest has not disappeared.
Chelsea, meanwhile, have already tested Bournemouth’s resolve. A £64m offer for Scott was rejected last month, with sources around the south coast club insisting the midfielder is not for sale this summer.
So Chelsea wait. Enzo’s future, City’s next move, Bournemouth’s resistance, and the fate of Neto, Mudryk and Leao are all tangled together. One big decision could trigger the rest.
