Burnley Signs Young Defender Alleyne from Manchester City

Burnley have turned to one of Manchester City’s brightest young defenders as they plot an immediate return to the Premier League, sealing a deal for 21-year-old England Under-21 international Alleyne.

The move comes at the end of a season that showcased his resilience as much as his talent. He began the 2025-26 campaign on loan at Championship side Watford, grinding through the division’s physical demands before being recalled by City in the middle of an injury crisis at the Etihad.

The defender’s enthusiasm for the move burst through as he spoke to the club’s website.
