The Cherries have been handed eight opponents for the new 36-team Europa League league phase, with AC Milan and Real Sociedad the headline names in a schedule that will test the depth and resilience of Rose’s squad.
Big nights at Dean Court
Bournemouth will welcome AC Milan, Viktoria Plzen, Sturm Graz and Hapoel Beer Sheva to the south coast in what promises to be a run of European nights the club has never experienced before.
Milan’s visit stands out. Seven-time European champions, one of the continent’s true heavyweights, under the lights at home – it’s the kind of fixture that defines a European campaign and rewrites a club’s recent history.

Away from home, Bournemouth face Real Sociedad, Sparta Prague, Celta Vigo and Lillestrom.

How the format works
The draw followed Uefa’s new structure, with the 36 clubs seeded into four pots based on their performances in European competitions over the past five seasons. Each team has been paired with two opponents from each pot.
Clubs cannot face more than two sides from the same country and are protected from playing teams from their own domestic league at this stage. Bournemouth’s mix of opponents reflects that balance: a spread across Europe, with no domestic clashes and a blend of giants, regulars and ambitious outsiders.
The exact sequence of fixtures will be confirmed by Uefa in due course, but the calendar is already locked in.
