Araujo Joins Reds for Intense Pre-Season Training

Defender Araujo wasted no time getting started. Fresh from sealing his loan move from FC Barcelona on Monday, the new arrival was thrown straight into the Reds’ midweek session as Andoni Iraola cranked up the intensity.

Alexis Mac Allister, back in the building earlier this week to begin his pre-season work, joined in as the tempo lifted. The sight of Jeremy Jacquet and Curtis Jones back among the group added another boost, with both having sat out last weekend’s clash with AS Monaco.

The session itself was sharp and unforgiving. Tight, rapid-fire rondos tested touch and awareness, while full-blooded team drills pushed fitness and decision-making under pressure. Iraola’s players know what’s coming: a friendly double-header against Como 1907 that will offer a much clearer read on where this squad stands.

With new faces bedding in and key names returning, the rhythm of pre-season is starting to sound a little more like the real thing.
