Al-Qadsiah Set to Sign €60m Tijjani Reijnders Amid Al-Ittihad Clash

Al-Qadsiah are on the verge of landing one of the headline signings of the Roshn League summer, with Netherlands and Manchester City midfielder Tijjani Reijnders set to arrive in Saudi Arabia to complete a blockbuster move.

Saudi daily Asharq Al-Awsat reports that Al-Qadsiah and Manchester City have already reached a full agreement over a €60 million transfer, with only the formalities left. Inside the club, Reijnders is already being treated as a near-confirmed addition.

The 28-year-old is expected to land in Saudi Arabia on Monday to finalise the deal and put pen to paper, in what would be one of the most eye-catching arrivals of the window.

And his introduction to Saudi football could hardly be more dramatic.

If all goes to plan, Reijnders’ first outing in Al-Qadsiah colours may come as early as Friday, against Al-Ittihad in the second round of the Roshn League. The decision will fall to Irish head coach Brendan Rodgers, who must weigh the temptation of unleashing his new star immediately against the need to bed him in properly.

Reijnders only joined Manchester City last summer from Milan, yet still carved out a significant role in a star-studded squad. He featured in 50 matches across competitions, contributing 7 goals and 8 assists – numbers that underline both his durability and his influence in the final third.

Al-Qadsiah’s intent is clear. The club are not just planning for survival or mid-table comfort; they are building a side to compete on multiple fronts.
