West Bromwich Albion Sign Midfielder Rabby Nzingoula
West Bromwich Albion have dipped back into the European market, landing highly rated midfielder Rabby Nzingoula from Ligue 1 side Strasbourg on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
The 20-year-old becomes the club’s seventh arrival of a busy summer, joining Matt Ingram, Conor Townsend, Nolan Galves, Felix Horn Myhre, Barney Stewart and Jimmy-Jay Morgan in a squad being reshaped with clear intent.
A European education
Nzingoula arrives with a solid grounding despite his age. He made 15 first-team appearances for Strasbourg, tasting top-flight football in France and stepping onto the European stage in the Europa Conference League. Spells on loan at Montpellier and German side Nuremberg have already exposed him to contrasting styles and demands, a valuable education for a midfielder still at the start of his career.
Now he walks into a division he already understands will test him in every way.
“From the games I have seen, it's clear to see it's a very good, physical and demanding division,” he told the club’s website. “It's a really good league and a really tough one too. It has a lot of high intensity, and I think that fits perfectly with my style of play.”

Nzingoula has done his homework on his new surroundings, and one figure stands out for him: head coach James Morrison.
“There are a lot of players with talent here at the club and the head coach has so much playing experience,” Nzingoula said. “I know that he played over 300 games here and I know he was a very good midfielder, so I really believe he can help me and develop me into a much better player.”
