Thiago staying put in Miami
Thiago, 13, will remain in Inter Miami’s academy, where he has been developing as a midfielder since joining in 2023. Those close to the youth setup describe a player very different from his father at the same age.
Unlike the explosive, goal-hungry prodigy who tore through La Masia and then La Liga, Thiago operates deeper. Messi himself once broke down his son’s game on Simplemente Futbol, calling him “more thoughtful, more of an organiser, more of a midfielder.”
