Romelu Lukaku's Future: Fenerbahce Offer and MLS Interest

Romelu Lukaku’s future takes another twist. The Belgian has been offered to Fenerbahce once again as he searches for what could be the final major move of his career, with Saudi clubs also circling.

At 33 and heading into the last year of his deal with Napoli, Lukaku finds himself at a crossroads. His 2025-26 campaign never really caught fire on a personal level, and he is not expected to be Massimiliano Allegri’s first-choice centre-forward when the new season kicks off. For a player who once bullied defences across Europe, the prospect of starting on the bench sharpens the urgency of a move.

Napoli, for their part, are ready to listen. Reports in Italy indicate the club would accept offers of no more than €10 million for the veteran striker. A modest fee for Belgium’s all-time top scorer, but still not enough to trigger a concrete bid. His departure from the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona remains theory, not reality.

In recent days, Lukaku has been linked with a switch to MLS side Atlanta United, a move that would open a new chapter in the United States. Yet Friday brought a familiar name back into the story: Fenerbahce.

According to Doruk Tigemer of Turkish broadcaster TRT Spor, Lukaku has again been proposed to the Istanbul giants. This is not a new courtship. His name was put on Fenerbahce’s table during the winter transfer window and resurfaced about a month ago. The idea clearly refuses to go away.

For now, though, it is all still on paper. No official talks have taken place between Fenerbahce and Napoli, nor between the Turkish club and the player’s representatives. The Saudis are watching, MLS is an option, and Napoli are waiting by the phone.

Lukaku knows time is moving quickly. The question is who will move first.
