Liverpool Women Sign Goalkeeper Khiara Keating on Permanent Deal

Liverpool FC Women have moved decisively in the summer market, securing the signing of highly rated goalkeeper Khiara Keating on a permanent deal after the expiry of her contract at Manchester City.

At 22, Keating already carries the air of a seasoned professional. She made her senior debut at just 17, emerging from City’s academy system with the kind of composure and presence that quickly pushed her into the spotlight. That early breakthrough has been backed up by consistent progress, culminating in international recognition with England at both youth and senior level, and a Lionesses debut in October 2025.

Her arrival makes her the club’s fourth new recruit of the window, a clear signal that Liverpool are not content to simply stand still. They are building, layer by layer, and they have started from the back.

There is another twist to the move. Keating will once again work under Gareth Taylor, the head coach she previously played for at Manchester City. That existing relationship strips away the usual settling-in period; Taylor knows exactly what kind of goalkeeper he is getting, and Keating knows the demands that will be placed on her from day one.
