Endrick's Premier League Loan: Real Madrid's Next Move for the Brazilian Star
Real Madrid are preparing to send Endrick back out on loan, with his representatives at Roc Nation now working on a move to the Premier League for the 2026/27 season, according to journalist Ramon Alvarez.
This is not a snap decision. It is the product of a clear agreement between the club and the 20-year-old’s camp: with Carlos Espi and Yan Diomande arriving and the attacking hierarchy tightening again, a temporary exit is judged the best way to keep his development moving.
Work is already under way to place the Brazilian at a club in England next season. The message is obvious. Madrid still believe in the investment, but they do not yet see room for him at the Bernabéu.
From Lyon lift-off to another crossroads
Endrick has only just returned to Madrid after a productive loan spell at Olympique Lyon, where he finally played like a man with a stage big enough for his talent.
Eight goals in 21 games in all competitions told part of the story. The rest came in his growing authority: sharper movements, cleaner finishes, a forward who looked increasingly comfortable carrying responsibility in a top European league. That run earned him a place in Brazil’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, a landmark for a player still feeling his way into elite football.
The World Cup, though, did not bring the same surge. Carlo Ancelotti, in charge of the Seleção, never fully trusted him in the decisive moments. Endrick struggled to impose himself and left the tournament without the impact he had hoped would force Madrid’s hand.
So he went back to work.
He reported for pre-season earlier than expected, determined to impress new Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho. He scored in a friendly against Fiorentina, a small but timely reminder of what he can offer. Interest from AS Roma then flickered, only for reports to suggest Mourinho had been impressed enough to keep him around.
That appeared to close the door on another loan. Now it is wide open again.
A crowded room at the Bernabéu

Endrick, for all his promise, sits behind a long line of established names.
His first year under Ancelotti at club level offered only flashes. He played little, but when he did, he looked lively, dangerous, impatient to prove he belonged. A loan to the Premier League would be a step into a harsher climate. Faster, more physical, unforgiving of inconsistency. For a 20-year-old still learning the nuances of European football, it is both a risk and an opportunity.
From Madrid’s perspective, the logic is simple. They spent heavily on Endrick and still see a long-term asset, but they cannot promise him the minutes he craves. A season in England, if he lands at a club willing to build around him, could harden his game, sharpen his decision-making and test his resilience in a league that rarely allows young forwards to coast.
For Endrick, the question is different. He has already shown in France that he can adapt, score and grow. Now comes a bigger challenge, in a bigger spotlight. If he passes this one, the next time he returns to the Bernabéu, he will not be asking for chances.
He will be demanding them.
