Atlético-MG vs Bragantino: Sudamericana Quarterfinals Showdown

The night at Arena MRV will define a place in the CONMEBOL Sudamericana quarterfinals, and both Atlético-MG and Red Bull Bragantino have laid their cards on the table.

Galo arrive with the advantage – and the momentum. The 1-0 win in Bragança gives them the cushion of playing for a draw at home, and it comes on the back of a convincing 3-0 victory over Grêmio in the Brasileirão. Confidence is high. So is the expectation.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. (Brasília time). From the first whistle, every duel will carry knockout weight.

Galo go full strength

Atlético-MG step onto their own turf with the strongest lineup they can assemble right now. Three key names who sat out the win over Grêmio are back in the XI: Natanael, Maycon and Bernard all return to the side.

There are important absences, though. Thiago Borbas, whose rights belong to Bragantino, is out of contention. Igor Gomes, Scarpa, Léo Duarte, Lyanco and Índio are also unavailable through injury. Up front, the responsibility falls to Reinier, chosen to lead the attack.

On the other side, Bragantino travel knowing exactly what they need: overturn the deficit, away from home, in a knockout tie. There is no safety net. They must win.
