Arsenal Pursues Endrick as Martinelli Departure Looms

Arsenal have gone back to Real Madrid to ask – again – about Endrick.

The Premier League champions have renewed contact with the La Liga giants’ hierarchy this week, sounding out the situation of the Brazilian forward as they look to reinforce their attack ahead of Gabriel Martinelli’s expected departure.

Endrick’s future has been one of the running stories of Madrid’s summer. The 20-year-old returned to Valdebebas after a highly productive loan spell at Lyon, sparking immediate debate inside and outside the club over whether he should stay in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad or head out for another season of regular minutes.

Talk of a fresh loan grew loud. Too loud for José Mourinho’s liking. The Real Madrid boss stepped in publicly to make it clear he wants the young striker to remain in the Spanish capital and has no intention of letting him leave before the transfer window closes.

That stance has not killed the speculation. It has only changed the tone of it.

Late this week, Arsenal’s name resurfaced around Endrick. According to TEAMtalk, club sources at Real Madrid have confirmed that the Gunners have made fresh enquiries about the Brazilian, underlining that their interest in the former Palmeiras prodigy has not gone away.

This is not a new fascination. During previous discussions between the two clubs over a potential move involving Vinícius Jr, executives at the Emirates also asked about Endrick’s availability and long-term plans. The answer then did little to encourage them, yet they have clearly refused to walk away from the idea.

For Arsenal, the equation is simple: Martinelli is heading for the exit, and a young, high-ceiling forward who can grow into a central role fits their recruitment model perfectly.

For Real Madrid, the calculation is different. Endrick has just returned from a successful spell in France, carries significant expectation, and has a coach publicly backing him to stay put.

Something will have to give. The question now is whether Arsenal’s renewed push is strong enough to shift Madrid’s stance, or whether Endrick’s next steps will be written in white, not red.
